Paltoos (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect on paltoos.com, why, and how we protect it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Rules, 2011.
1. Information we collect
- Order and account details: name, phone number, email address, billing and delivery address.
- Payment details: payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
- Paltoos Guardian QR: your pet’s name, photo, date of birth and other details you add, plus the owner contact details you choose to share.
- Messages: details you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
- Usage data: device, browser, pages visited and cookies, used to run and improve the website.
2. How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders.
- To run the Guardian QR service, so a person who finds your pet can contact you.
- To send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To send offers and news, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud and meet legal and tax requirements.
3. Guardian QR: what is public
When someone scans your pet’s Guardian QR tag, the pet profile you set up (for example pet name, photo and the contact option you choose) is shown to that person. Please only add details you are comfortable sharing with someone who finds your pet. You can edit these details at any time from your account.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order.
- Payment partners (Razorpay), to process payments.
- Technology providers that help us run the website, email and messaging, under confidentiality.
- Government authorities, when required by law.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep items in your cart, remember preferences, and understand website traffic, including through analytics and advertising tools such as Google and Pinterest. You can turn off cookies in your browser, but some features may not work.
6. Data security and retention
Our website uses HTTPS encryption and access to personal data is restricted. We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, for example tax records.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for marketing, by writing to support@paltoos.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
Our website is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its updated date.
